History:

Background of developing this temple to realist decisions which has discharged in meeting of Parisada Dharma Hindu Bali on 20 November 1961, at Campuhan Ubud, Gianyar Parisada Hindu Dharma is high Assembly Indonesian Hinduism, which was centralization located at Denpasar. Siwaratri at Jagatnatha Temple:
Tonight, on the new moon of the seventh month of Balinese lunar calendar, Balinese will celebrate the Siwaratri or the Night of Siwa. This holy day is devoted to God Siwa, the destroyer. Balinese believes that on this day, God Siwa, the destroyer meditate for the welfare of the world, and the God Siwa will bestow a pardon for all sin to someone if he accompany the God Siwa in his meditation by observing some self restriction and meditate on the night of Siwaratri.
